TOURNAMENT

The
tournament will take place on February 27th
in California State University Dominguez Hills, Carson
- California.
The
Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2010 is realized by United
States Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

The
athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their
fighting schedule.
The athlete only can enter in the fighing area when
is called by the official.
In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm
up area, and remain there till the next fight.
No coaching is alowed in the fighting area.
The athletes from the following countries Brazil, France, Portugal, Japan and Canada must be affiliated with their countries national Brazilian jiu-jitsu federation, and must bring federation ID at the event before their fights, otherwise you will not be able to compete.
All competitors, regardless of age, are required to present a valid picture identification prior to each match.
In the case of juveniles (minors), a valid/unexpired school identification card or similar may be used as long as the DOB and your picture is on it. Persons unable to provide one of the above forms of identification will NOT be permitted to compete and there will be NO refund of tournament entry fees given.
Note: For this event an exception will be made, IBJJF will accept copy of birth certificate as proof of identity for the athletes prior to the match
To Coaches and Parents
This event intends to bring the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu values and moral codes to the young generations by introducing the young athletes to the competition experience in a healthy family orientated environment. In order to keep a nice and respectful atmosphere during he competition, the cooperation of the coaches, parents and staff is needed and appreciated, any misconduct during the event such as aggressive language from supporters towards other competitors, coaches, family members, staff or others won’t be tolerated.
Note during the mighty-mite division matches one coach for each school/academy will be allowed inside the competition area, upon the organization approval.

The event shirt will be available for all competitors at the IBJJF shirt booth, don't miss the chance to bring home the Pan Kids 2010 event shirt. Note. Must show identification to get the event shirt.
REGISTRATION
The registration is now closed.
The registration fee is: US$ 72,00.
ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 11:59PM Saturday, February 20, 2010! (GMT - 7, Greenwich Mean Time). Also, note that registration fee(s) are non-refundable.
THE FEDERATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE REGISTRATION when we reach full capacity, or February 20, wichever comes first.

Corrections
by e-mail:
The athletes can send one e-mail with changes on the
registration, by sending a email to ibjjf@ibjjf.org
with the subject 'PAN KIDS JIU-JITSU CORRECTION'. The deadline
is Februay 23 5PM pst.
Registration
Check day:
The athletes must make sure that their information is
correct by checking the website on the registration
list for their weight, belt, academy, age division,
and name information. If there are any mistakes on the
information (ei. typing mistakes by IBJJF) please
send an email to ibjjf@ibjjf.org. (deadline February 25,
5PM pst) .
On Friday , February 26 the brackets will be available
online at our website.
After the registration check day, no changes will be made
and no refunds will be given.
During the tournament, any mistakes on the brackets
that were not correct previous to sign-in check day
will lead to immediate disqualification.
Every athlete will be given an opportunity of AT LEAST one match, there will be an designated ring area and staff to match one fight in cases of only one competitor in the bracket, upon coaches, parents and organization approval.

As a reminder for Parents, athletes and coaches
The registration for the Pan kIds Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2010 should be made by year of birth.
Ex: If the athlete have complete 9 years old at the moment of the competition with DOB 12/05/2000, the athlete needs to be registered in the 10 years old age division.

INS
Before his/her first fight, the athlete will check his/her
weight with the Gi. There is only one opportunity to
check the weight. If the competitor does not make his/her
weight,they will be immediately disqualified.
Please make sure that you are in the correct weight
division. You can not change divisions ,if you do not
make your designated division. No changes will
be accepted in the tournament day, no refund.
All athletes with ages between 4 – 15 years old are allowed to compete and weigh-in with a traditional weave fabric gi (single, double or golden) or with a summer gi kind (the lighter fabric version). All blue, all white or all black. No other kind and colors of gi is allowed.

On Friday, February 26th, prior to the Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the IBJJF will be giving a Referee course.

Each
academy can only have two athletes in the same division
(of age/weight/belt). If your academy has problems regarding
the number of athletes in each division, please send
an e-mail to IBJJF ibjjf@ibjjf.org.
Depending
on the number of athletes in the tournament, some classes
may not have an absolute division.
Before
each fight, athletes will be asked to show their Ids
to the officials. Make sure you have it at hand. |
