Registration

THE TOURNAMENT

The tournament will take place on January 27th 28th, 2007 at the "Complexo Municipal Esportivo do Casal Vistoso", Rua João silva, Lisboa, Portugal.

On friday january 26, prior to the European Open Championship, the IBJJF will be giving a Reffere course. All the students that are attending the course will be certified by IBJJF and CBJJ.

Time 9:30 - 12:30 (lunch break)
2:00pm-5:30pm
Total of classes hours - 6:30min
Fee - 50 euros

* Pour les combattants de nationalité française : il est impératif d’être licencié auprès de la Confédération Française de Jiu-Jitsu Brésilien (www.cfjjb.com) et d’appartenir à un club affilié à cette confédération pour prendre part aux compétitions internationales organisées par l’International Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

* To enrol in any IBJJF tournaments, competitors from France must be affiliated with the French Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Confederation (www.cfjjb.com) and show an up to date cfjjb license card when they sign in.

* Todos os atletas residentes em Portugal devem portar a carteira da Federação Portuguesa (www.fpjjb.com) para lutar o Campeonato Europeu de Jiu-Jitsu.

WEIGH INS

The system will be the same used in the Mundial in Brazil , the athlete will check the weight after the official call for his first fight, minutes before he steps on the mat, the competitor can check the weight only once, if the competitor doesn't make it, he will be imediatelly disqualified. Make sure you're in the correct weight division, if the competitor doesn't make the weight, no changes will be accepted in the brackets, and there will be no refund on the fee.

All athletes must check weight with the gi on.

HOW TO ENROLL

Para atletas de língua portuguesa residentes fora do Brasil

Internet enrollment form deadline: 21/01/07

Fill the internet enrollment form and print the waiver.

The enrollment fee – which will be charged at Complexo Municipal Esportivo do Casal Vistoso on January 26 (10:00am-06:00pm) – for athletes who fill the internet enrollment form correctly is € 80.00.
Athletes who didn’t fill the form properly (any kind of change or correction on your registration) will pay €10.00 extra fee.
Athletes who didn’t enroll through the Internet will pay €120.00.

Be sure that all the information on your enrollment form is correct, otherwise e-mail us.

Athletes must bring their waiver form.

4th NATIONAL TEAMS MATCH

The 4th national teams macth will be held on january 27 and 28 2007, together with the 4rd European Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship.

The macthes will be between adult blue, purple, borwn and black belt teams, each country are allowed 1 team per each weight division.

Each team is composed of 5 competitors, the first team to reach 3 victories will win the round. Each team must have a coach to write down the schedule that the fighters will follow.

There will be two weight divisions:

- Till 76 kg (gi On)

- Over 76 kg (gi On)

To participate in this event the athlete should sign-up the European JJ Open Championship.

DIVISIONS

Junior 16/17 years-old

  • Only bluebelts

  • Men only

  • 16 and 17 years-old will compete in the same division

  • Athletes born on 1990 and 1991 are eligible to compete

  • Fight time: 5 minutes

  • There is no open class.

Adults

White belt division - male and female - adults only - There is no open class

  • The division is open for everyone, but athletes of other age divisions willing to compete here will not be allowed to fight in their own division (athletes can only enroll in one age division)

  • Fight time:

whitebelts - 5 minutes
bluebelts - 6 minutes
purplebelts - 7 minutes
brownbelts - 8 minutes
blackbelts -10 minutes

 

Masters (30-35)

  • Athletes born between 1972 and 1977

  • Fight time: Bluebelts – 5 minutes

  • Purple/brown/blackbelts – 6 minutes

  • Men only

Seniors 1 (36-40)

  • Athletes born between 1967 and 1971.

  • Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes

  • Men only

Seniors 2 (41-45)

  • Athletes born between 1962 and 1966.

  • Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes

  • Men only

Seniors 3 (over 46)

  • Athletes born before 1961.

  • Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes

  • Men only

Women

  • There will be five weight divisions

  • Brown and blackbelts will compete in the same division

  • Adults only

  • Fight time:

  • Whitebelts - 5 minutes

  • Bluebelts - 6 minutes

  • Purplebelts - 7 minutes

  • Brown/blackbelts – 10 minutes
