IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Teams trophy title will be given to the Academies with more points in all divisions.

Points are counted as follows:

1st place - 9 points
2nd place - 3 points
3rd place - 1 point

* When there is only one athlete on the bracket  points are not counted.
** When there are only two athletes in the bracket and both from the same academy, the points are not counted.

Each academy can only have two athletes in the same division (of age/weight/belt). If your academy has problems regarding the number of athletes in each division, please send an e-mail to IBJJF ibjjf@ibjjf.com.

Depending on the number of athletes in the tournament, some classes may not have an absolute division.

THE FEDERATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE REGISTRATION when we reach full capacity, or August 20th, wichever comes first.
Make sure to register early to save a spot.

Before each fight, athletes will be asked to show their Picture Ids to the officials. Make sure you have it at hand.

The athletes from the following countries Brazil, France, Portugal and Japan must be affiliated with their countries national Brazilian jiu jitsu federation, and must bring federation ID at the event before their fights, otherwise you will not be able to compete.

The Boston Open IBJJF Championship is realized by United States Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
